I love summer time in Reno, so many things to do, which I know surprises some people. Chris and I have been going to UNR almost every Tuesday for their free movies on the lawn (which mostly has turned into free movies in the theater because of our crazy high winds). We've also been going to the farmer's market every Saturday morning to pick up fruits and veggies and the occasional chile cheese bread from Schat's. And since it's July, July in Reno means artown which is an awesome showcase of art in Reno all month to include gallery showings, musical performances, classes, etc. We went to the Mid Town Art Walk last Thursday and munched on some food truck goodness, browsed the vending booths and listened to random music as we walked down the street. I should have taken more pictures, but I guess I'll try to remember that for next year.

| We love you Gourmelt and your wonderful cheesy goodness |
| And the garlic fries with basil aioli, oh yes |
| So yah, there was a flash mob fashion show down Virginia Street, which wasn't closed. They walked down the turn lane with their DJ playing music at the end. |
| They seriously strutted their stuff like they were on the runway |
| We found a free photo booth and we couldn't resist |
But summer also means spending time with the niece and nephews cause their out of school, but this we haven't been so good about, so we nabbed the eldest nephew last week and took him to Blind Onion cause he loves the fact that they have honey on the tables for dunking his pizza crusts, and then went to UNR to watch the second G.I. Joe.
| And we found etch-a-sketches to while away the time til the food arrived |
| Cheezitastic |
| And Uncle Chris made us stay even after he finished... |
| Cause he's a nerd |
We also took advantage of the free movie at our nearby park a couple weeks ago. I love this, there's no way we'd be able, or willing, to do something like this in Vegas, too stinking hot.
| I want one of those screens in the backyard |
| It looks like I'm eating my fingers, but I swear it was popcorn |
| Super comfy |
So we've got more summer magicalness ahead: we're going to nab the niece and the youngest nephew for another park movie extravaganza, we're going to the
Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival with friends in August, not to mention
Social Science at the Discovery! Now I think we need to plan a tubing adventure, anyone interested??
