Oh Baby (Showers)!

Whew! The last two weekends were packed full of baby showers with our Vegas one on the 15th which was hosted by my mother-in-law, Debi, and designed by Jen and Pepper. Yep, me, Chris, Jen, and Pepper schlepped down to Vegas, but it was Jen and Pepper who brought all of the stuff to make the shower magic happen (and did all of the shopping, and late night decorating, which was also accomplished my the in-laws and Chris:). The Vegas shower theme was vintage carnival and it was absolutely adorable! It was great having family, friends, friends of parents, and old neighbors there; it was a wonderful mix. There's a lot of photos here, consider yourself warned.

The night before the shower, in the throes of setting up

John and the goldfish

Yah, this was super late/early in the morning, I was in bed...

Gorgeous marquee lights spelling out BABY that Jen and Ryan made and cute EVEY letters from my mom

Fabulous bunting that Chris and John hung

I loved this kissing booth that Pepper made! It's cardboard and duct tape! Guests had to guess how many kisses were in the jar:)

Fabulous treat table

Evey's picture and her name on the bunting

Wonderful ticket cake

This is a common scene from every party they put together

So glad Billy could come!
Me and Mae

Cute food setup:)

Kyra and her friend; it makes me feel old knowing that I used to babysit her!

Cute Hilk/Harris family

Bonnie and Janney:)
More amazing food! Are those mini corn dogs? Yes they are! Oh yah, and complete with cute die cuts

Love me some Romos and Cotten!

The best godson ever! I actually think he enjoyed himself at this 'girly' party!

They hid in the kitchen for a good chunk of the shower, but that's ok

Surprise visit from Mindi when she came up with her mom! Mindi went to both showers

Sisters think alike! Debi and Gerri, both in lovely purple

Let the bottle chugging contest begin! Pepper and Debi look quite amused

I love these pictures

Love the high school buddies

Cute family pic

Time for gifts! Gorgeous blanket from Cotten
Wonderful former neighbor, Barb

It was great to see him surrounded by all this pink

Will Evey look more like Chris or Chenay?...

Ferris wheel full of cotton candy
So the shower was pretty amazing and we are sooo grateful to Chris' parents, Jen, Pepper, and everyone who was at the shower and those who couldn't make it but still sent their love:) It was definitely an overwhelming experience, and I mean that in a good way, due to all of the love and support from so many of our favorite people. This little girl, and us, are extremely lucky to have all of these people in our lives.

Next we have the Reno shower! It was held on the 22nd in our backyard, which was covered by a 20'x40' tent, now who do you think we got that from? The theme for this shower was a lovely mix of vintage French, tea/garden party and it was a blast!

Gorgeousness!

It was a bit chilly so the heaters definitely helped

You can see Pepper's cute cloth diaper carriage:)

Lovely tablescapes

Had to bring in the ferris wheel again as well as the vintage rocking horse we got from Terry and Nicola

Vintage bassinet that served as gift holder

I loved the chandelier and umbrellas hanging from the tent

The first to decorate a cupcake, of course;)

Ilin and Arya, Evey's got a playmate right across the street!

Wonderful Discovery ladies and cute Rae!

It's bottle chugging time again!

Me and Lori

Gift time! It was awesome having him with me, less pressure on me!

Gorgeous quilt

The party was all done

And here's Evey's room! My one complaint is that we don't have the crib skirt on for the photos, but I just ordered it!

The frame above her crib is gonna have a big picture of her in it! The mint blanket is one of many that my mom has crocheted for her, not to mention wonderful dresses and booties!

Do you think she has enough clothes? Yah, that was before I hung up the additional outfits we got from the Reno shower. Baby girl clothes are just so stinkin cute

My childhood desk converted to a changing table. I'm slightly worried about bonking her head on the hutch, but the hutch is removable if my clumsy self does that:) I love the rolling cart we got for her books

And more book storage! These are outdoor mountable planter boxes that I painted and Chris hung up. We also got some wonderful prints from Etsy and added a wire with clips to hang up future art work

There you have it, another wonderful baby shower and Evey's room! I think we're really prepared in terms of stuff, now it's just about getting mentally prepared, but honestly, how much can we actually do? We can read all of the books, talk to so many moms and dads, but we won't fully understand what's going to happen until she's here, so I say that we are as ready as we're going to be! Only 44 more days...
