Valentine's Day

I might have said this last year, but I think Valentine's Day is pretty awesome. I love the cheese factor of it and have never taken it too seriously, as in, I don't expect Chris to bring home a dozen roses and lavish me with gifts, not my thing. Now that we've got Evey, we decided that we will continue the no pressure Valentine's Day we've always done, but will now include her. This day is going to be for spreading family love, cheesiness style;)

We went for breakfast at Peg's at 8, so no showers because we wanted to beat the rush. We had an awesome time and it was fun to watch the other customers fawn over Evey and have her wave back at them:)

And she was in a red hooded long onesie with pink hearts, of course;)

Then we went for a walk to the park and enjoyed the unseasonably warm February weather. Evey even had her first swing and slide ride.

And due to this lovely weather, her ensemble changed to a lovely gray romper with pink hearts and emblazoned with "I love mommy".

Then we had an impromptu wine/play picnic in our neighbor's yard.

Evey enjoyed her sippy cup. Thanks for letting us crash your day, Sherry!

And then we had dinner at the nearby Chinese place. We wanted all you can eat dim sum, but they were really busy and short-staffed and we were told that the dim sum would be awhile. So we ordered off the regular menu and we were still there for an hour and a half. But it was fun and Evey and a little girl kept staring at each other, so that was fun;)

So it was a pretty good day. Chris got Evey and I some chocolate covered strawberries and lady bug brownie pops.

And I got Chris some cute cards from me and the kiddo and some ghost pepper candies. There are no ghost pepper candy pictures because I will not let him eat them around Evey!

I hope everyone had an awesome/cheesy/romantic Valentine's Day!
