Grandma's Birthday and Family Reunion

PWe recently got back from a family reunion/my Grandma's 90th Birthday celebration in Warrenton, MO. Definitely a longish flight, and the first flight we've done with Evey, but all went well and we had a great time catching up with my Dad's side of the family that we haven't seen in a while.

First leg of the trip had us flying out at 5:30 am, which meant we needed to wake up really early. Evey didn't wake up til we got to the airport, so that was nice. The airport was packed, which was odd for an early Thursday morning, and our flight was delayed a bit so everyone could make it through the long security lines. On the short flight to Vegas, Evey decided to take a little nap.

With our flight being delayed, we didn't have much time to get to our plane and had no time to get food, and we were starving, although we had plenty of food for the kid. As soon as we got to St. Louis and got our car, we quickly hit up a Jack n The Box!

Chris changed Evey on the plane, and he offered!

Waiting for the car rental shuttle

Cruising at the car rental place, gotta stretch those legs!

After we checked into our hotel, we went to my aunt and uncle's house and hung out with my cousin and her two boys. They were really awesome with Evey.

The next day we ate at the Waffle House (we'd never been to one before...we may or may not go to one ever again:) And we went to Walmart to get food for the wee one.

My parents came in right when we were leaving, so my dad got to meet Evey for the first time and she got to see my mom for the second time!

Evey and my aunt.

She loved swinging everyday!

The festivities took place over three days, starting with a pizza party, then a lunch, and the last day was a brunch. Some of my dad's cousins came in as did another of my cousins. My aunt and uncle did a really great job organizing everything!

We had a great time, and like I said, it was really great to see family, and really awesome for my grandma to meet Evey.

The flight home wasn't bad, she slept for two hours on the long flight. However, on the flight from vegas to reno, we ran into a storm when we got to reno and the pilots didn't have enough fuel to wait it out, so we had to go to sacramento to get more fuel and then head back to Reno. Evey did pretty well, but it was bedtime by the time we landed and she was tired.
